With the 200-executive orders still being carried out, the most controversial of them all is Trump’s order to end citizen birthright effective sometime soon, whether that be immediately or next month. Main news outlets claim that 22 states have filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration on the grounds of violating the 14th Amendment within the Bill of Rights. They claim that the Amendment states that anyone born within the U.S. borders is a citizen of the United States, thereby making Trump’s executive order unconstitutional. However, as always with the left, they take the law and twist it to fit their narrative and push their agenda. The truth is that the left suing Trump left out one important detail within the very amendment they accuse the 47th President of violating. Below is a direct quote of Amendment 14, Section 1:

“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of the law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of its laws.” Amendment 14, Section 1

Within the first sentence, the detail the left leaves out is “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,” meaning anyone born has to have parents who are also legal Americans subjected under American law, native or immigrant. Those who crossed the border illegally are not supposed to be here; therefore, they are not under U.S. jurisdiction. This makes any child born to illegal aliens unqualified to be a born U.S. citizen. The left hopes to ignore this small detail and allow an alien child to be born here, and then allow its parents, its grandparents, its uncles and aunts, and any other family member into the U.S. to “care” for the child. The left does not care for this at all, and they certainly do not care for any child born legally or illegally. They only bother because these alien babies are another way for the left to get more votes in upcoming elections disguised as humanitarian aid. Trump made the right move in ending birthright citizenship and let’s hope the lawsuit fails in court, as it will be a resounding victory for U.S. security, and a complete catastrophe for the traitors who wish to tear this great nation down.
