With Russia’s attention diverted to the unexpected back-and-forth slug of a war in Ukraine, the Siberian people jump upon a perfect opportunity to attempt another coop and separate from the Russian power of Moscow. With no funding towards infrastructure and Siberia’s natural resources drained to the breaking point, the Siberian inhabitants have had enough of Putin’s poor economic management of the territory. Siberia’s only hope is that Ukraine continues to make staggering progress as their counterattack into Russia continues to produce results.

With Russia’s resources and military assets spent, the Kremlin has almost nothing left to pay attention to the unrest of the Siberian protests going on. With history to determine the future, it is most likely that Putin will silence the protests the minute he has enough military personal available to send to the frozen tundra.

President Zelensky welcomes the friendship Siberia offers to this war. Our only hope now is that Putin doesn’t do anything in desperation and cause more innocent lives to be lost. Our prayers go out to the East for a speedy end to this war.
